InnoVida Factory in Haiti

We are planning to install an InnoVida manufacturing facility in Haiti by Winter 2010. We have been working on this project since the beginning of 2009 and plans are being finalized. The investment is approximately $15 Million and we have obtained a commitment from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) for financing. This facility will generate 250 direct jobs and 1,000 indirect jobs its first year and will have the capacity to produce approximately 10,000 houses per year.

InnoVida manufactures Fiber Composite Panels (FCPs) which are used to build houses, offices, schools, warehouses, medical centers, manufactured, modular and mobile homes, shelters, etc. The structures made with FCPs are:

• Built Fast - 1/3 of the time compared to conventional construction
• Earthquake Resistant - InnoVida's FCPs deflection capacity is 20% compared to the traditional 5% of cement built home.
• Hurricane Resistant - The Wall Panel and Roof Panel were tested and approved for wind speeds above 155 mph.
• Waterproof - Does not provide a food source for algae and mold.
• Low Maintenance - Does not provide a living environment for termites or rodents and has a long life span.
• Less Cost - since it is faster and does not require steel, wood or concrete.
