SeismicInnoVida structures are ideally suited for use in seismic zones. Unlike traditional building methods, the Fiber Composite Panels (FCP) can accept a considerable amount of bending forces and vibration without cracking or breaking. The structure was subjected to cyclic and racking testing regimes to assess their behavior under seismic loads. Panels were tested for 600 pressure cycles. An InnoVida house was lifted more than 3 feet off the ground then rocked and bounced, sustaining no damage. InnoVida FCPs have a high deflection capacity of 20% before they reach their breaking point verses traditional construction that is 5%. |
Fire ResistanceAn InnoVida FCP was burned at 1250°C (2282°F). The fire did not spread beyond the area of direct flame, and the structural integrity was not compromised. They were tested for Self Ignition Temperature, Rate of Burn, Smoke Density and Fire Spread and Smoke developed. |
